Base 5's First Day

It has been so lovely to have the children back in school today after a lovely summer holiday. Everyone has grown a little more and looked very smart!

We have had a busy first day back, getting used to the new classroom and choosing our classroom jobs. We’ve started in our brand new English and maths books with some handwriting and a little maths quiz. We even had time for a quick game of maths bingo!

This afternoon, we refreshed our memories with some history questions – they really got us thinking about our prior learning. After that, we were given important historic periods of time to create a timeline but the dates were missing. There were some excellent conversations.

Don’t forget to ask the children for their letters about our autumn learning and their theme day, which we are very excited about.
