Base 5 have had a great week of learning so far, including some odd socks to show that we are all unique and start of Anti-Bullying week, and some exceptionally crazy hairstyles. This week has also been a week of remembrance with Remembrance Day on Tuesday. The children took part in the minutes silence very respectfully and lay the wreath by our flag pole.

We have continued our RE learning and we have been exploring how and where Hindus worship. One type of worship Hindus do is Puja and within this they have a Puja tray which includes a range of items necessary for their worship.

In science, Year 6 started their learning about electricity, understanding the key vocabulary they will need for this learning and having an excellent discussion about electricity and its uses.

Year 5 began their learning about sound and also explored the vocabulary that they will need which allowed for some great conversations. We also started to look at what happens when sounds are made. We used some drums and lentils to see what happens when we hit the drum differently.
