We have had a fantastic day at the Wroxeter Roman city. We got to experience what life would have been like during the Roman times within the ruins of a Roman Bath House and a replica Roman town house. Some of the children said it was like walking in the Romans' shoes. We learnt about how the Romans lived, how they spent their time at the basilica, where the bath house would have been, how the wealthier Romans lived and how they did their shopping in a macellum (indoor market) using different coins. We also had the opportunity to make a Roman coin out of clay using a mould and made our own patterns on the other side.

The children have been fantastic and we are extremely proud of how well they conducted themselves all day. This allowed us to build on our learning about the Romans.
