Base 5 Theme Day

Base 5 have had a lovely day today filled with DT and art. We started our day continuing our DT work, building models of the Houses of Parliament. They are looking great and some of us have added the electrical circuits to make parts of the buildings light up. 

This afternoon, we have been learning about Hokusai, a famous Japanese artist who created a very famous painting, The Great Wave. We looked at a range of his paintings that are all inspired by natural disasters within Japan. We sketched some of these and then started to create our own version of The Great Wave – they are starting to look great.
