R Charlesworth: September 2019
Has there ever been a more busy, exciting week? We began the week working hard with Mrs Cador on arithmetic and more complicated addition. She was so impressed with your learning behaviours- well done everyone! We also discovered a new text this week; Reckless. WOW- we have enjoyed this. After reading only the first few paragraphs we are hooked- we learnt such a lot about this story and the characters within it. We learnt how we can find out more from a text by looking closer at the words chosen and images created. This was something that the children really enjoyed- they made lots of predictions about what would happen next too. It was not surprising that all our copies of this text flew off the shelves! As well as this some of the class went to Robinwood on a residential- a wonderful outdoor adventure centre; the children had such fun and really gave it their all- well done guys. The rest of the class had a fabulous time at school, we enjoyed an art project- designing and making a 3D cog art work for our display — it looks fantastic. They also ran the school assemblies- which they did so well.
I hope that you have all enjoyed the weekend and I'll see you on Monday.
Can we also say how proud we are of Laura, she has donated her beautiful hair to charity. What a beautiful thing to do. You can also read more on this on our news and on the Nantwich news blog.
