Base 5 have had a fantastic week. We have been ever so busy, from a visit from the nurse to planting sunflowers. We have also welcomed Miss Dulku, who has joined us to enhance her training to become a teacher.

We have been rewriting two lovely books about deforestation and the children have worked exceptionally hard to vary their vocabulary and sentence structures to make it interesting to read.

In history, we are learning about the Romans, the Anglo Saxons and the Vikings with a specific focus on the invasions of Britain. This week we have written about Julius Caesar's attempted invasion on Britain.

We finished our week in the sunshine planting our sunflowers that we have grown at home (we had to use a ladle because we didn't have enough spades).
