Base 5 News

Four days has simply sped by in Base 5. In English we have completed our newspapers, inspired by the pome The Day the War Came. The children have been demonstrating their skills by using a range of features to get and sustain the attention of the reader. In maths Year 6 have been revising ratio and volume while year 5 have been revisiting perimeter and area, all the children have been working hard on this and have shown great team work, really helping each other which has helped us to grow in confidence though the week.
In history we have been exploring artefacts from the Shang dynasty, piecing together historical clues to help us work out what they were used for and what this then tells us about the time.
As well as this we have enjoyed our PE lesson, spent time with our buddies and have been working on our learning journey books, completing the final pages, they look wonderful. Well done everyone.
