Base 5 are Musicians

Base 5 have started their music today, looking at some gospel music. We listened to a gospel choir to understand what gospel music is and then started to learn the gospel song, Down by the Riverside. We talked about the song – some of us liked it whilst some of us didn't.

We then recalled our learning from autumn term about notation, reading music and playing the piano. We used this to play a part of the song we learnt, Down by the Riverside. The children had remembered their learning well and have played the whole piece of music today!
