Base 4 Weekly News
SS: February 2017
Well done Base 4! You have worked very hard this week — just like every week. We have finished writing our stories based around our class book of 'The Storm Whale in Winter' and after reading and marking them all it was fantastic to see you all showing off all your learnt writing skills and producing some marvellous stories. We definitely have some future novelists in our ranks! Well done everyone!
In Maths we have been looking at decimals and their relationship between fractions and percentages. We can now convert between most fractions, decimals and percentages by using learnt skills. We then moved onto applying this knowledge into word problems and it was lovely to hear the conversations around the room as you worked together to solve these problems!
In swimming this week it was again commented on about how well behaved we were so well done Base 4 — you should be proud! You are all improving well and it is good to see so many of you 'jumping in at the deep end' and trying something new.
In topic we have been using last week's homework to produce two information leaflets on Isaac Newton and Galileo Galilei for our topic books. These are looking fantastic and you have once again produced work to be proud of!
You have definitely earned your half term break so enjoy it rest up and come back ready and raring to go on Tuesday 28th February!

The children loved the thought of this and we then learnt about the water cycle — the best recycling system! This...
