Base 4 Crewe Railway Station

Base 4 enjoyed a very exciting day yesterday travelling to Crewe Railway Station to enrich our studies of the local railway and the network further afield. We travelled from Wrenbury Railway Station, embarking on the train (on which we had an extra carriage arranged especially for us!) to then get off at Crewe, where we had a very informative day exploring all parts of the station and, of course, saw lots of trains! We even had a tour of platform 13 which is out of bounds to the general public, so we felt like VIPs for the day. Everybody took away so much new knowledge and we owe a massive thank you to Eddie Forshaw, a previous Chair of Governors here at Wrenbury, who kindly helped to organise the visit and who also accompanied us on the day.
