Base 4 – Coordinates

Today, Base 4 explored plotting coordinates to accurately identify shapes on a grid. The children then reflected shapes across different axes and discussed the patterns they noticed between the original and reflected coordinates. Our Year 5 pupils extended their learning further by translating the reflected shapes around the grid, applying their understanding of movement and position with great accuracy. Fantastic mathematical thinking and discussion from everyone today!
