Base 3 Theme Day

We have had a busy and very creative day in Base 3 today. We have all come to school dressed as characters from our class story ‘Wind in the Willows’ by Kenneth Grahame. This meant we had a classroom of toads, foxes, moles, badgers and even an otter! The children have worked collaboratively in pairs to design, create and evaluate models inspired by the story. We have come up with creations like Toad’s motorcar, Toad Hall, Ratty’s boat, Mole’s underground house and even a riverbank scene. The children worked carefully and were very proud of themselves for their hard work! We ended the day showcasing our models to the whole school and sharing the story in assembly time.
