What a fabulous day in the glorious sunshine at Beeston Castle!
We really will have had some tired Base 3 children tonight after a day of adventure and learning at Beeston. We have learnt how to become a knight, scaled the grounds of this famous Iron Age hill fort and have learnt all about Ranulf who built the castle and his knights, guards and many defence tactics against enemies.
Not only this, but we explored the Bronze Age roundhouse with its many resources and artefacts. From real animal skins to flint and stone tools, we have seen, touched and tested it all. The pictures speak for themselves and the children’s behaviour was super, making us all very proud of them at Wrenbury (even if we did have some tired legs and naps on the way home!). Well done everyone, it was a pleasure to take you all.
