Base 2 Theme Day

Today was Base 2's Theme Day based on the Roundheads and Cavaliers of the English Civil War as well as the battle of Nantwich. We began the day by capturing all the children's amazing costumes. A little surprise for the children included a familiar reenactment of the battle using the muskets and swords used on our trip last week kindly lent to us by Nantwich Museum. Before lunch we designed and created our own helmets and crowns. On the agenda after lunch was civil war biscuit making. In the afternoon we performed our historic assembly to the school, all the children were amazing! To end our fabulous day we tucked into our civil war biscuits!
