Miss McKinnon: February 2020
We had such a busy week in Base 2 last week. The children learnt all about Mary Anning and why she was so important which helped to answer one of their enquiry questions from the start of the term, 'how do we know about dinosaurs?'.
On Friday the children made their own Ichthyosaurus fossils using clay and a range of tools. Throughout the afternoon the children used lego and decided to create a dinosaur museum, they used the magnifying glasses to observe some rocks and fossils more closely and sketched what they could see. Nathan and Freddie worked as a team to follow instructions to create a T Rex while Leo used his imagination to create his own T Rex dinosaur out of Lego.
