Base 1 Theme Day

We had a fantastic time during our theme day today, made even better by the sunshine! We began with our class assembly, where we retold the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. Afterwards, we explored the different parts of a plant, learning to identify the roots, stem, and leaves, before getting creative and making our own flowers.

We also planted real seeds in clear bags, which we’ll hang up and observe closely as they begin to sprout and grow each day – just like Jack’s magic beans! To finish, we enjoyed an afternoon in the sunshine, playing games and spending time outdoors. It’s been a wonderful day from start to finish.
