Base 1 News
AM: October 2019
It has been another fun filled week in Base 1. This week we have been using our phonics to practice writing letters and simple words. Everyone has been learning to form different letters on our creative table by mixing and painting on our letter formation sheets. It has been a colourful week.
In maths we have been learning all about shapes, their names, their properties and how shapes can be used to make different things, like houses, gardens and dinosaurs. We even had a try at tangrams, making big models out of little shapes.
Our Mystery Reader this week Claudia's mum, Heather. She came in and read us 3 great stories, even reading two about Christmas, getting everyone in the festive spirit.

Another busy week has flown by in Base 3. This week, we were amazed by water! We began learning about the water cycle by drinking water that was billions of years old!
