Base 1 – Fine Motor

We have continued to develop our fine motor skills in Base 1 through a range of engaging fine motor activities. We have also started our Squiggle Me a Writer programme, focusing on developing our pre-writing patterns and building the foundations for confident writing.

We have introduced the Four P’s to help us become ready writers: posture, pencil grip, paper position and pressure. The children have been incredibly engaged and enthusiastic throughout these activities and have been so proud to show off their learning!

Well done, Base 1! We are off to a fantastic start with our writing skills, and we can’t wait to see how they continue to develop!
