Base 1 – Drawing Club

Base 1 have got stuck into our very first Drawing Club book, Funny Bones! We have been exploring different parts of our bodies and talking about what a skeleton is and why we have bones. The children have enjoyed lots of exciting activities, including counting the bones on our skeleton dog, drawing our own skeletal body parts and retelling the story. They were especially excited to give their Drawing Club pictures a special magic code, with lots of children using our new sound of the day, ‘S’. The excitement grew as everyone watched Mrs Evans drawing, eagerly waiting to see if her magic code would make her skeleton come alive! Some children thought they could see the skeleton wiggling, slinking and moving its skeletal body — what wonderful imaginations!
