Base 1 – Cutting Skills

Base 1 have been working hard on developing their fine motor skills this week, with a special focus on cutting skills. The children explored how to hold scissors correctly to help them gain the best control and confidence when cutting. They then practised the technique of “snip and move,” learning how to carefully feed the paper along as they cut. The children showed great concentration as they carefully cut along both straight and curved lines, and they were very proud of their progress and growing independence.
