Base 1 – The Christmas Pine

This week in Drawing Club, we have been enjoying the magical story The Christmas Pine by Julia Donaldson. The children loved exploring the characters and the snowy, festive setting, and they went on a wonderful imagination adventure inspired by the tale. In our expressive arts sessions, we focused on colour, learning how adding white or black paint can make a colour lighter or darker. The children had great fun experimenting with different shades of green and discovering just how many tones they could create for their very own pine tree paintings.
