Autumn in Base 1

Base 1 have been discussing, investigating and exploring all things 'Autumn' in the last couple of weeks. The children loved looking closely at conkers and pine cones as well as pumpkins, squashes and corn. We talked about what happens to the weather, the trees as well as what the animals do during Autumn. We then talked about why and when we celebrate Harvest.

We shared the story 'Leaf Man' and decided we wanted to make our very own leaf men! We went on a hunt to collect leaves of different sizes, shapes and colours and even enjoyed making leaf angels on the way.
