Just come inside after joining in with #clapforourcarers, I think I could hear you all tonight!
So to today... From Amy, Alfie's mum...
Thank you for keeping us all up to date with what everyone is up to! We are enjoying looking at the pictures and reading about the adventures. Alfie really loved the letter from Mr Lindop. He has written one back to him. Best wishes I'm sure Mr Lindop really enjoyed reading your letter Alfie – a lovely, thoughtful thing to do. I'm really pleased you like catching up on the pictures and messages, Alfie.
From Carmel, Isla and Alfie's mum...
Alfie and Isla have enjoyed the Joe Wicks PE lesson this morning followed by Isla's history work researching Neil Armstrong! I'm now a daily participant in the Joe Wicks workout too – I can't say I 'enjoy' the experience but it has given me some giggles with Mrs Clark. I'm glad you're both enjoying it and lovely to hear that you're busy with your history research – great learning going on!
From Sharon, Leo's mum...
Morning all ,hope all good as we wait for the warmer weather to arrive. Leo has been so busy with lots of school work this week. We have been looking a London, drawing Tower Bridge. Space writing about Neil Armstrong and Tim Peake. Leo is trying so hard with Times Tables Rock Stars, he so wants to beat the girls. Also on on-line Martial Arts class . And Leo says Miss you all x We miss you too, Leo! Wow! You've been busy. I'm really pleased that you are able to keep your out of school club going on-line. Keep practicing the times tables ...the girls have got some competition!
From Lola...
Hi Mrs Cador, Hope you are ok and everyone is keeping safe at Wrenbury. Just wanted to share with you that me and Asa have been growing rainbows today using kitchen roll, felt tip pens and water. Hope this brightens your day. We miss you. Love from Lola and Asa 🌈 Oh, Lola – it has brightened my day. Your rainbows look fantastic. I think we'll have a go at these in school. I miss you both, too, but it's been lovely to share what you've been doing. Thank you.
From Becky, Fraser and April's mum...
Hi Bessa, I just thought I would let you know what we have been doing this week. We all felt a bit sad at the start of the week as Fraser and April are really missing school and their friends but after reading the letters from their teachers they both had a smile on their face. We have done a lot so far. Fraser is loving Khan Academy and has started his history project about Neil Armstrong and Tim Peake as well as continuing with his geography project. We have also started a veggie patch, so far we have planted onions and potatoes. Fraser has also asked to learn about the Human body so he drew around April and then has been drawing the organs and labelling them. April has been keen to learn and has been doing jolly phonics each morning and she has also enjoyed her online ballet class this week. We hope everyone is well and we love catching up with the daily pictures. Wow! (my favourite word tonight) You have both been really busy this week with lots of lovely learning! Fraser you'll have to compare your human body drawing with Joshie's. I was chatting to Lily's mum today (Base 1) and Lily is wanting to find out about the human body too. We have some super, curious children! April don't you look lovely in your ballet outfit, and again how great that our children are able to carry on their classes online – brilliant! Do keep us up to date with how your potatoes and onions are getting on – it'll be lovely to see your full grown veggies!
From Sarah, Maisie and Oliver's mum...
Hello, hope you have had a lovely day? Today we finished off our lava lamp experiment and Maisie has written up the instructions and is now researching how the experiment worked. The lava lamp experiment looks fascinating and really pretty too! I wonder what you discovered? Writing up the experiment is a great way to practice your writing Maisie and it's looking very organised and neatly presented!
From Katie, Matthew's mum...
Miss McKinnon asked Mathew to draw his favourite toy so today he drew himself a tractor. He was very proud of it! He's also been practicing his blending words and he's been super good at them. :) Matthew, Miss McKinnon will be so pleased with you!
Well, everybody, what can I say – a wonderful selection of learning and fun, pride and thoughtfulness. I'm so proud of you all and that includes our wonderful mums and dads – thank you for supporting your children with their learning at home and above all making each day a happy day. It is so appreciated by myself and the Wrenbury Team. Bessa Cador
