During our outdoor learning this afternoon, the children in Little Wrens were very excited when they spotted a tractor working in the field next to us. We couldn’t resist stopping to watch what was happening!
The children loved running up and down alongside the tractor, watching it move across the field. Then came the most exciting moment – the tractor stopped right beside us and the farmer got out to say hello. The children confidently asked him what he was doing, and he explained that he was sowing grass seed. We told him that we had just started learning about growing, which made the moment even more special. The farmer kindly showed us the grass seed and even let each of the children have a small handful to plant themselves. We are very excited and can’t wait to see if our seeds grow!
A big thank you to Mr Farmer for taking the time to stop, talk to us and share what he was doing with the children. It was a wonderful real-life learning experience.
