A fantastic week in Base 5

Base 5 have had a fantastic first full week with so much learning. We have started our writing about Henry VIII, explored place value in maths and started some exciting history learning. We have had our first science lesson where the year groups come together – Year 6 have started with the human life cycle which will feed into evolution and inheritance and Year 5 started learning about household appliances and which ones use electricity.

Today, we learnt more about how to present ourselves in French and then, moved to music where we are exploring music and emotions. We listened to some of the Harry Potter music.

Year 6 had their first swimming lesson and they were fantastic whilst Year 5 were mastering parenthesis with Mrs Clarke.

A great week of learning in Base 5!
