Ms Huntington: November 2015
We have had so much fun this week in our very own Pizza Parlour. We have been learning about money whilst we have been serving pizza's. Some of us have been writing pizza orders using our sounds so that our Teacher's can read them! We have also found some 2D shapes in our pizza toppings! What a lot of learning going on!
Our Nativity songs are coming along very well, we are beginning to remember the words; some of them are very tricky! As we have been learning the songs we have been talking about the Christmas Story and why we have Christmas celebrations.
Next week we are going to write our own Christmas Story. It will take us a long time to write it so we are starting early! We will use our sounds to write some of the words and we will use some tricky words that we already know.
Over the next two weeks we are going to learn about the times during the day and when we do different things. We will learn that at 12 O' clock it is lunch time and 2 O' clock it is playtime.
We are also going to be learning about patterns and making our own repeating patterns. We will use 2D shapes to help us make patterns. This will link to making Christmas decorations for our classroom.
We will also be learning about weight, heavy and light and deciding which Christmas present is the lightest and heaviest!
Thank you to all the parents for helping your child with their Nativity costume. Please come and see us if you need any help. You can send them in as soon as you have them.
