On Monday we had an assembly about 'change' and how change can make us feel: sad, happy, excited, uncomfortable, nervous. We talked about how all these feelings were OK and that moving up to a new class was a change where each of us would have a different response to it. We decided that spending time with our new teacher and, in some cases, new children can help us overcome some of the nervous feelings we may have.

All day Tuesday and Wednesday morning saw all the children 'transition' in readiness for September. We welcomed Mr Morrison to Little Wrens to get to know the children and for them to feel secure for September (and meet parents at the Little Wrens Parent evenings). We also welcomed Benjamin and Lillie, who will join Base 1, and who both had a lovely time in school.
The older children had a great time in their new classes — there were lots of smiling faces and everyone is feeling happy and more secure about their new class and their teacher. All ready for a fantastic start in September.
