Star Writer - Issy
Issy Roberts: June 2019

I used to be free. Used. I would soar gracefully across the plains, doing cartwheels in the air. Would. I could roam. Could. That was before life changed. Before I got shot down. Before my life was ruined. Before I lost hope. Now I cannot fly. I am enclosed in a small space. I cry. But no-one comes. I plead. But they throw rotten fruit at me. I protest. But they clip back my wings. I do not matter any more. No-one cares. The world betrayed me. There is no hope. No trust. No happiness. Just betrayal, slavery and hate. I am away from home. It'll never be the same again. It's a lost cause.
