Sports Day 2017
SS: July 2017
Thank you to everyone who came to Sports Day this year and helped us to make it one of the best yet! It was fantastic to see so many children involved in all the races and having such a great time in the lovely weather. Everybody performed to their best ability and that is all that we ask and it was especially awesome to see Lola, Aleesha, Donnie, Ellie B, Frayer, Katie C and Ruby H to name but a few showing their resilience and racing their hearts out. We have plenty of winners this year and gave out so many stickers I'm surprised some of you could walk at the end!
It was especially heart warming to see so much encouragement being shouted out from the sidelines from the children to encourage each other! This is what sports day is about — teamwork! It is also about winning points for your team and it was a great moment for Harry to lift the cup this year for the Green team and lead them on a victory lap.
The results are below and it was a very close affair this year which shows how fantastically EVERYONE has performed. Well done to everyone — your behaviour and attitude was exemplary. You have done Wrenbury proud yet again!
Results:
1st — Green — 159
2nd — Red — 147
3rd Blue — 141
4th Yellow — 139.
A massive thank you needs to go to Miss Phillips for organising and running Sports Day and to all the other staff for helping to run the event and making it run as smoothly as it did. A big thank you to everyone who helped by selling drinks and food throughout the event and to Ethan for taking lots of photos of everyone on their races! A final thank you to everyone who came and watched and cheered everyone on!

Not only was it very exciting to dress in our sports wear today, we also got to meet a real athlete, Sean Conwy — wow! We learned that he is three — time world record holding endurance athlete and that he is the only person to have ever completed a triathlon the length of Britain — impressive. We then had lots of fun competing in our own sponsored triathlon. Throughout the day, we took part in...
