We've had another very busy week in Little Wrens. We have enjoyed sharing and joining in with the story, The Little Red Hen. We know this story very well and have worked hard to sequence the story. We were also super helpful and helped to make bread – yum! We have enjoyed exploring what is meant by harvest. We learned that harvest means to collect crops. Throughout the week, we have looked at different fruits and vegetables and have enjoyed printing with them.
It has been lovely to share the children's autumn treasures. The children were so proud talking about their different autumn objects.
We have also taken part in kindness week. In class we now have our very own kindness tree, each time were observe an act of kindness. children can choose a ribbon to add to the tree. I can tell you that our tree is looking quite full already – what kind children we have at Wrenbury!
On Welly Wednesday, (actually Thursday this week), we explored the different shapes of leaves and identified them. We also looked at the different sizes of the leaves and grouped them into big, medium and small.
In other news, our rhyme of the week was, Old Mcdonald had a Farm, we continued to sing counting songs in our mathematics sessions, we focused on rolling a ball, splatting and prodding during our dough disco sessions, we learned how important it is to look after our brains in our myhappymind session and we shone brightly at church in our harvest festival. Mrs Phoenix and I were extremely proud of you all!
Have a super weekend Little Wrens,
Miss Gregory
