It's been a week of two halves...
At the beginning of the week, we explored Bonfire night and discussed how we can stay during this time. We used a breadstick to practise sparkler safety. we then turned our breadstick into an edible sparkler by dipping it in icing and sprinkles! For the rest of the week, we have been learning about Remembrance and why we wear a poppy. In mathematics, we have been introduced to 'another 1'. In phonics, we have been working hard to hear initial sounds in words, our focus sound had been 's'. We have also enjoyed activities to support hearing the blend in a word – I have been super impressed with our listening skills!
Next week, on Monday we will mark Remembrance day and for the rest of the week we will take part in World Nursery Rhyme Week.
