Forest Area- thank you!

This week we have had construction works on site clearing our forest area as the first stage of its development. We want this space to be one where the children can enjoy nature through play, where they can plant flowers and nurture habitats whist being able to engage in imaginative play at the same time. This is something that the children (and teachers) are very excited about.

This would not have been able to go ahead without the generosity of a local company 'Graham Heath Construction' who, when hearing about the project, offered their assistance, free of charge. We want to thank them for being so supportive of school as they did not hesitate to help and worked non-stop over two days of icy, cold and snowy weather to clear the ground ready for further development.

The next stage of development will focus on a creating a safe pathway through the forest while we look for further sponsorship for the imaginative, hands-on, play equipment that we plan to add to the area. After this, we hope that parents would like to volunteer to help us and the children to plant up this woodland space to create a beautiful garden and habitats for wildlife.
