Drawings to make others smile
B Cador: March 2020
In last night's email inbox from Leisha...
'Hi, I hope you're well. Today Oliver and Willow have been drawing pictures and cards to send to a care home that my friend works in in Crewe, if any other children would like to draw pictures or write a letter let me know please and I'll add to our collection before we post them, thank you 😊'
Lovely photos of Willow and Oliver being busy bees...writing and drawing for a purpose — a great way to practice letter sounds, spellings and sentences...being creative...and thinking of others too!
Leisha — a lovely 'we all matter' idea. Y1-4 have written letters to 'Dear friends' in school last week ready to share — we've given some to Rev Alison to share across the village and we have some for our friends in the Nursing home. I'll keep some / photocopy some of the letters for you so that the care home home in Crewe also get some too.
If anyone wants to draw or write a letter (even mums and dads!), I'll put a basket in the reception area for our collection. If the weather is nice, I'll put on school yard and get them to Leisha for you. Let's spread some joy!

The water we were drinking may have been sucked up by the trunk of a woolly mammoth or even supped Tutankhamun! The children loved the thought of this and we then learnt about the water cycle — the best recycling system! This...
