Diwali in Base 1
Miss McKinnon: November 2021

We learnt all about what Diwali is and how it is celebrated and read the story of Rama and Sita.
We used coloured rice to create rangoli patterns, practised our cutting skills to create lanterns which we then used to decorate our classroom, designed henna patterns, made our own Diva lamps using salt dough and decorated them with paint and to finish the week we created edible sparklers!
