Christmas at Wrenbury
B Cador: December 2021
Thank you to all our younger children (and their teachers) for bringing the spirit and warmth of Christmas into school last week, something that we haven't been able to share over the past few years.
The EYFS/KS1 Nativity was wonderful. Lots of singing around the narration of the Christmas story. One of our Y2s, Sofia, said she was loving doing the nativity and said she'd like to do it every day of the month! That's how special is has been for the children and for those who were able to come and watch over the three performances.
Our Little Wrens shone on Thursday (thanks to the staff) as they sang some lovely traditional and some fun songs including 'When Santa got stuck up the chimney' and 'jingle Bells' with musical accompaniment for their very proud parents (and me!).
Our Year 2 children also had the opportunity to visit Broomhall Chapel last Wednesday for the 'Hope Journey' and to meet the characters in the Christmas story. They loved every minute; were so engaged and enthusiastic and I was very proud of how they represented school in the community. A very big thank you to the members of Broomhall Chapel who welcomed and hosted us.
This week, we look forward to:
Thank you to all the Wrenbury Team for always going the extra mile for the children and to our school families for their continued support of all that we try to do at Wrenbury, especially in supporting the additional protective measures we have put in place to keep every one as safe as we can in these challenging times.
Best wishes,
Bessa Cador

Yesterday, Reception spent the afternoon talking about how we can be kind. We had two new friends to help our learning called Terry Turtle and Winnie Wolf. We first explored different emotions and how our facial expressions may change depending on how we feel. After this, the children listened to a story about Terry and Winnie and an argument they had about sharing a crown. We spoke about how...
