Little Wrens had a great week celebrating Chinese New Year, the year of the dragon. We created our own dancing dragons then went on a dragon parade, used chopsticks to mark Chinese symbols, shared the story, The Great Race by Emily Hiles and learned all about the story of the Chinese Zodiac, enjoyed tasting prawn crackers and created lanterns.

We also enjoyed lots of activities to support our gross and fine motor development, built upon our learning of number 5, developed our listening skills in our phonics sessions and learned about the character strength, friendship during our MyHappymind session.

Next week, we will enjoy activities based around Shrove Tuesday and Valentines Day. I shall look forward to seeing you all at our stay and play sessions too.
