On Tuesday 1st March, Base 3 were fortunate enough to have a workshop delivered by Pauline from the Canal and River Trust. Pauline was fantastic and the children were very engaged with the learning about rivers.
The children learnt all about all aspects of how a river worked. We got to use rope and sand to recreate a river. We also learnt about the rivers near to us and the water shed that they flow through. After that, we explored how rivers are used around the world. We found out that rivers are used for hydroelectricity, habitats, water for animals and humans and transport.
We would like to send a big thank you to the Canal and River Trust for supporting us with our learning about rivers.
