After practising the songs for the Skoolzfest 'Big Sing' (4th July) this morning (which the children performed very well), we spent a little bit of time in assembly celebrating some of our amazing children.

We thought Jack and Matthew (Base 5) showed great initiative for organising not only the cake sale this week but also the morning and afternoon activities and games to raise funds towards the Y6 residential costs. (We loved the cakes!)

We celebrated Harrison P (Base 2) receiving his first Blue Peter badge for writing a fantastic story and think it may have inspired others to do something special and try to earn one of their own. Well done, Harrison!

We loved the fact that Hannah and Ellie M (Base 5) had set up their own after school knitting club.

We applauded Matthew F (Base 3) for being outstanding in his attitude to work and school and loved the fact that he asked fantastic questions to gain a greater understanding beyond the lesson! Wow!

And all this inspired Ben H (Base 4), Ben and Frankie (Base 5) to want to set up their own Tag Rugby club at lunchtimes.

Children can and do make a huge difference for themselves!!
