Base 5 Week One!
R Charlesworth: September 2019
And...stop! What a busy, bustling few days we have had- I'm not quite sure where the time has gone!
We have learnt all about our new topic and book — the amazing Mortal Engines- we all want the class text to read; I'll have to order even more copies already! We have learnt about our new roles and the expectations for Base 5- I have to say that I am really impressed. Base 5- your ACHIEVE learning behaviours this week have been simply brilliant. Already you are getting to grips with what 'learning' really means; it is the process of gaining knowledge not the knowledge gained. You have shown some great deeper thinking and problem solving when creating our exciting art/ DT projects and are also experts at tidying up too! Excellent !
Our balloons are now up and looking fabulous in the classroom, we have completed our cogs for our front covers, we have learnt a great deal about the amazing blue whale, woken ourselves up with some arithmetic, had a PE lesson (while completing some super yoga poses) and really focused on our reading and reading books. All in 3 days! Crikey!
I hope that you have all enjoyed it as much as I have- I am really looking forward to the year ahead of us and am excited to see what we can achieve; based on today's work the world is our oyster!
Have a great weekend and I will see you all on Monday.
