Well, we have completed our first full week- we have learnt such a lot! We have been busy with place value in Maths, really looking deeper into what the digits within the numbers mean. We have used our problem solving skills to complete activities and worked as teams too.
In English we have been piecing together a nonfiction report on blue whales, we have learnt about modal verbs, pronouns and determiners- all of these have helped our writing.
Our science and art have been combined when learning about reproduction in flowering plants. We have dissected, illustrated, created and painted- the work is simply wonderful; well done everyone. We have our science biology lab well and truly and running, with hands on experiments for the children to explore. In PE we have been learning all about hockey and even had our first game.
After all of this, I think you all deserve a rest this weekend! I will see you all recreated and ready for another fun week next week.

The water we were drinking may have been sucked up by the trunk of a woolly mammoth or even supped Tutankhamun! The children loved the thought of this and we then learnt about the water cycle — the best recycling system! This...
