Another wonderful week spent with my Base 5 gang! This week began with the Y6 going on their RE visit, this was a really moving morning where they learned more about wartime life and peace. This week we have also been looking at our propagation science experiments- we can't believe how they have grown! We could see roots, shoots and stems! Many of our experiments have produced more than one plant- it is amazing to see the different ways that plants reproduce. We have also been busy writing some stories – I have to say, these have been fantastic and the children have really enjoyed writing them- they just didn't want to stop! We have also been continuing with our work on division – some of us have been exploring long division and we have loved this- it is always a challenge to learn something new but we love a challenge! As well as this we have enjoyed our RE and PE lessons, completed some STEM work and have had a peep at some history which we will continue with next week.
Oh – and not to forget – our class story! I love reading this to you, you are all so gripped and are making great links and predictions. It is also so great to see so many of you reading the book and reading more books by Philip Reeve.
Enjoy your weekend- I look forward to seeing you all on Monday.
