Mr Sargeant: November 2016
What a great first week back we have had in Base 4!
We have worked very hard looking at adverts in English. We can now identify the main features of an advert and are beginning to understand the different ways that they can persuade the reader. We have even begun to create our own adverts! In maths we have carried on with division and Mrs Cador was very impressed with how much we how quickly we learnt division by chunking! We have worked very hard applying all our our learnt maths skills to solve complex problems so well done Base 4!
A massive thank you to everyone who came in on Wednesday afternoon to help us with our coding — we had a great time and are really getting to grips with the coding language now! Feel free to have a go at home. The website and app is free (see below).
A special thank you also needs to be said to Mr and Mrs Jones who came in on Friday afternoon to help us with our Art lesson. We all learnt lots of new art techniques about how to shade and how to use shading to create different effects. I certainly learnt a lot!!
A few reminders:
Our Chester Zoo trip is on Tuesday 15th November. Children must be in school uniform and must bring a warm waterproof coat AND a warm hat and gloves. We will be outside for most of the day so wrap up warm! Don't forget your lunch!
Parents evening is on Thursday 17th November. Times are on a first come first serve basis so bring the letters back asap! I have sent times back for those letters I have received.
Have a lovely weekend
