Mr. Lindop: January 2020
A great week of learning in Base 4 this week — we've been working incredibly hard on our learning journey and getting creative in Music too.
We returned to the feast at Heorot, only to find that the mead-hall had been destroyed by the foul beast, Grendel. We learnt more about Grendel and banked lots of wonderful language to describe him.
Our Maths has focused on tenths and hundredths. I've been really impressed with the children's engagement and concentration particularly in Maths this week and they've managed to get to grips with some difficult ideas really well — great work, Base 4.
We've also been listening to Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, composing our own trills, swoops and leitmotifs using triads to show the daring and darting flight of the eight sisters.
Have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the photos.
