Base 4 News

In Base 4 we have been busy beginning to learn how to write a great newspaper article. This has meant lots of sentence level work, including writing in the correct tense. We enjoy lots of practical sentence manipulation when learning to write, where we can physically move, change and edit our sentences. This helps to give us verbal strategies and confidence to write a sentence down more fluently.

During the past week in Science we have been learning about friction as part of our Forces unit of work. The glorious weather lent itself wonderfully to some outdoor experimental activities. We investigated the effects of different surfaces on the speed of a toy car and evaluated how the level of friction affected this in turn.
