Base 4- Christmas Star!
R Charlesworth: December 2020
Base 4 have been learning all about our solar system over the last few weeks. We have learnt such a lot, much of this learning has just astounded us.
To add to this we spoke today about an amazing event happening very soon. Over the next few days, the awesome gas giants Jupiter and Saturn will appear to move closer in our sky and on the 21st December, the winter solstice, they will seem to merge. If you want to see this look south west from 4:30pm, they will have sunk beneath the horizon by 6:20pm.
Good look and please let us know if you manage to see this spectacular event- last seen over 800 years ago!
