What a great day we have had today! Our day began with weaving — learning a new skill and making our very own bracelets. After this, we visited a round house. We learnt about how it was made in the modern day and how it may have been made in the past. We also learnt about life in the round house; how food was cooked, where people slept and what people used as tools to help them to go about their daily tasks. Then we visited an Iron Age hill fort. We could clearly see the ramparts and understood what a safe place this would have been — we could see for miles despite the soggy weather! We all enjoyed the fresh air during this walk and we were even treated to the sound of skylarks! What a lovely day.
