This week in Base 3 we have been busy completing our non-fiction writing about scarab beetles, the children have worked hard on these and are looking forward to putting them into their learning journey books. In reading we looked at a text called 'Beetle Boy', we learnt that something mysterious occurred and someone is missing!
In maths we have continued to work on place value, now learning how to exchange when subtracting from larger numbers. For example, if we subtract 10 from 302 we exchange one hundred for ten tens , using a place value chart, which then allows us to subtract 10.
In geography we made a human river! We used our bodies to show the path of a river which was great fun, we then created our own map showing the journey of a river which the children all worked very hard on and feel very proud of.
Well done Base 3, another super week at school.
