Having decided on their own science investigation as part of their learning about teeth, Base 4 cut, tore, chewed and ground their way through a selection of foods yesterday afternoon. They observed which teeth they used at different stages of eating and noticed what happened in the mouth whilst eating. There was some great discussion not only about their teeth but also about the way the tongue worked, taste buds and taste sensations and saliva.
