Autumn and Harvest Exploration
Mrs Dopierala: October 2020
Base 1 had lots of fun on the last week of our first term back. We discussed and explored Harvest as well as Autumn. We did a lot of Autumnal creative activities for our Learning Journey books. We used conkers to roll and paint. We decorated Autumn trees using q-tips. We discussed Harvest and what happens in the fields and the machinery they use. Mrs. Winward recorded this process for us to watch at her local farm. We looked closely at maize and had fun peeling it and breaking it apart. We used some of the maize for printing using paint. We looked at various vegetables, cut them up and described their texture and what was on the inside. We carved some pumpkins and scooped out the insides, nice messy and gooey.
