Year 6 leading PE
: July 2017
Over the past few weeks year 6 have been working along side Mr Ellis to plan, prepare and deliver lessons of their own. The children chose a range of sports including tennis, football, gymnastics, dodgeball and dance. For each session the children were responsible for collecting the necessary equipment, setting up and also tidying up afterwards.
Two groups had an extra challenge when delivering their lesson. They had to deliver to year 6 and base 3, which both groups did extremely well making sure everyone was included and able to do the activities.
Every group did very well and learnt from each other's sessions about how they could improve in the future, as well as listening to and acting on advice from Mr Ellis. Well done year 6, this was an excellent way to end your final few PE lessons! Take what you have learnt and apply it at high school.
